VA movie is out!!

Just coming to say that the Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters movie came out on Friday in some countries (not in mine, btw), and that I've heard plenty of things about it. This is only raising my expectations even more... I need to see it soon, please...
It's had good critics from most people, but what I really wanted to know is what fans of the books thought about it. The general opinion is that it was a great movie and that there were only a few differences with the book. I read this article a few months ago that the director wrote mentioning the main differences between the book and the movie so we fans were ready for it, so I know what to expect. Or at least I think I know.
People who haven't read the books are a bit confused about it. Just like in TMI, the movie doesn't explain everything in detail like the books do, so some things may be confusing if you haven't read it. But most people are happy with it and waiting for a sequel already. One of the things I've heard is that Zoey Deutch's performance as Rose was perfect, and that it surprised many people. I guess I'll have to wait and decide for myself.
So I haven't watched it yet, and probably won't for some time, because it will be out in my country on May 9th, which is incredibly far away from now... I hope I can see it somewhere sooner than that, mainly because I've read the books in English and there is no way I wanna go see Rose and Dimitri fall in love in Spanish... I want to hear their original voices and Danila Kolovsky's amazing Russian accent!
If you haven't seen it yet, go read the book, and then go watch it.

VA: Blood Sisters trailer

I'm really, really sorry. I'd apologise all day, but I feel like I spend the whole day apologising, and every time I write a post...
I really wanted to post this as soon as I saw the trailer, but then my Internet stopped working, and then I went away and stuff... But I'm back now.
The trailer was awesome! No words to describe it, except of that expression that's used nowadays "asdfghjkl", which means "wow".
Every time a movie is being made about a book I love, I try to be ready for the worst, I never expect it to be as good as I had in mind. And it never is as good, but it can get close. Like for VA, I was really worried about finding the perfect Dimitri, because there was no way someone could be that perfect, just like I thought in TMI. The thing is that Danila seems good enough for my Dimitri, while I don't find Jamie good enough for my Jace. But that's only my opinion.
So, anyway, I'm quite happy about the VA cast, and the movie looks awesome already! The trailer shows plenty of important scenes, like the first one in the book, the one when Lissa is kidnapped, the one with a Strigoi Natalie, Dimitri and Rose training... And the lust charm. Yes, that's the important one for the fandom.
I just need to say that I'm extremely excited to see this movie, and that I can't wait till February 14th!! Even if I know for a fact that I'm going to have to wait more, because here in Spain we usually wait more than I would've liked.
If you haven't watched it yet, do it! If you haven't read the book, what are you doing with your life? :) Just read it, and then wait for the movie!
Want advice? Always read the book first.

Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters movie news

We finally know the whole cast of the Vampire Academy movie!! I'm just so excited to write a blog post about it... Really want to see the movie soon!! :)
The movie is going to be out in cinemas on February 14th, 2014. Yes, on Valentine's Day. And it's going to be great!
I like the cast, they're good for the characters they're playing, more or less (quite better than the TMI cast, in my opinion), and the movie can be really good, if they more or less follow the book (please...).
So here you have the list of actors and actresses, in case you haven't seen them yet:
- Zoey Deutch plays Rose Hathaway.
- Danila Kozlovsky is Dimitri Belikov (he's Russian, which means real accent!!).
- Lucy Fry is Lissa Dragomir.
- Dominic Sherwood plays Christian Ozera.
- Sami Gayle is Mia Rinaldi.
- Ashley Charles is Jesse Zeklos.
- Cameron Monaghan plays red-head Mason Ashford.
- Sarah Hyland (yes, from Modern Family) plays Natalie Dashkov.
- Olga Kurylenko is Headmistress Kirova.
- Claire Foy plays Sonya Karp.
- Gabriel Byrne is Victor Dashkov.
- Joely Richardson plays Queen Tatiana from the Ivashkov family.
So what do you think about the cast? I'm just really excited to see them working together and let's see how the movie looks like! They're filming in Europe, in the UK most of the time, and they're going to include some photography scenes from Montana, where the book really takes place. And I think it's perfect that the actor playing Dimitri is Russian, because we are really going to be able to listen to a beautiful Russian accent while falling in love...
Author Richelle Mead is happy with the cast and with everything movie-related, and she's just as exctited as we all VA fans are. The only thing they've really changed (that we know) is the title. Blood Sisters instead of Vampire Academy. Why? Don't know, really, but if they leave the whole saga as Vampire Academy it's okay for me.
What do you think? Like the cast members or not?

Less than a week left for The Indigo Spell!!

It's been a long time since The Golden Lily was published. And every single VA fan who continued the series with Bloodlines is now waiting for the third book in that spin-off.
We've been following Adrian and Sydney's journey together in the hot, not vampire-like Palm Springs, while they both protected Jill, with Eddie's help. May things happened in The Golden Lily, but something most of us are looking forward is Adrian and Sydney's relationship. He declared his feelings for her in the last pages of the book, and he even dared to kiss Sydney!! Does she like Adrian in that way? What will happen next?
Personally, I'd really like Adrian to be with Sydney, because that's something they both need. Fearless, cocky, un responsible Adrian Ivashkov needs logical, responsible, caffeine-addict Sydney Sage to knock a bit of sense in his head as much as Sydney needs him to help her live a more risky, fearless life. Their relationship would be nice, but I don't think Sydney's ready yet to accept a vampire that close to her. I mean, their friends now, but Adrian's still one if those "evil creatures of the night" Sydney's been taught to avoid.
I don't know how's this gonna end. What do you guys think? And about Jill and Eddie? Who do you think is Marcus Finch?
There are only 5 days left for February 12th!!! So get ready for the next book in this amazing series by Richelle Mead!!!
